Thanks Jim,
The rod arrived today as you said in mint condition,the colour is an added bonus :D .
Look forward to using it in the coming season

Aye the colour Bob !!! "The talk of the toon are the rods in maroon"
I took a chance letting my wife go into the garage and hunt amongst my rods for it, i think I got away with it though :D
On a serious note I think these were the last Sharpes rods to be made at Glass (Huntly) the name was then bought by somebody in Burtntisland, then the name was sold on to the guy who runs the bow fishery just outside Huntly, rods now come from China though.

Original factory still there along with casting pond (overgrown) ans distance markers.
Sad to see it like this.
Jim's right as they are now located in a big shed at Artloch fishery
