Many moons ago on a planet far far away I had a long belly line, I used it 'til it gave up the ghost and wandered off in to scrap line heaven, ( where ever that is) I have been unable to find another, even the Airflo 40+ is a poor substitute although it does a fair job, I may , only may mind, spend some hard earned cash on a better line, if only to outdo one of my regular fishing "pals"( you know who you are)
just something to give me an edge,I do not want to resort to sabotage( Not Obviously any way), I could swap the valves in his float tube, but that would be really underhand , and I'm not really like that( Erm!),any way I digress, what would any of you consider as a suitable choice? I use a 4wt rod mostly, so it would be a wf5 inter line I'm after, Oh and a happy new year to all here , :wobble: :xmas bounce: :choon: :sofa:

The Barrio GT140 fly line could be worth a look Derek. Expensive at £24 though :D .

It's only in the last couple of seasons that I've (mostly) been favouring intermediates over floaters for pulling wets flies.
I've been using the Cortland blue but I have Airflo fast and slow glass lines as well.
The Cortland gets used most but I occasionally use the fast glass to get a wee bit deeper.
It was only after reading posts by yourself and a couple of others on another forum that I decided to give it a go and I reckon it's been worthwhile.....for me anyway.
I was going to suggest that you might want to consider sending a message to the Pirate on the fly fishing forum.
I've never bought his lines but I have bought other kit from him and he's a pleasure to do business with.
Never heard a bad report of his lines either and he does do intermediates.
Whether he has long belly lines or not......I'm not so sure.

Brian.

aye guys looked at the G90 , but I fancied the g140, but they are only in floaters , theres a neat put down on the other forum, Pitsford
pirate is selling a Barrio line 1/2 price  evidently he doesnt like it, I have used very little other than intermediates all my fishing life , I started with silk lines , and found Inters do all I want, caboc Mhor

I only occasionally use the inter, but i dont usually travel wi oot it. infact once when we were up in the hills i found that i only had the inter wi me so AL advised that i should grease it up to work like a floater, it worked :yahoo: Tnk fook

I dont know Allan, how did the old fishers manage? they greased up and still fished dry etc., I dont fish any of the aforementioned methods, strictly a wet flee fisher, as I have been all my fishing life, :sofa:  caboc mhor

O I Will I will Allan , I have managed to fish a dry( In the days when I did such things ) with a neutral density, My pal ( not steve) fishes exclusively with a sinking line and manages a form of dry flee fishing, ( There are more things in heaven and earth that are dreamed of in thy Philosophy  Oh Horatio) :sofa: caboc mhor
